1. design

JAN 'N JUNE founders Anna and Jula still do all of the design work themselves. They are mastering that challenge, despite living in two different countries. Luckily they're pros at long-distance teamwork.

So the design process is split between Hamburg and Dubai.

2. raw material

Since the average cotton production is a pretty dirty business, we only use organic and recycled cotton.

The cotton is grown in Turkey.

3. yarn production

No matter which fibers we are talking about, they have to be spun into a yarn for further production steps.

The yarn production for this piece is in Guimarães, Portugal.

4. fabric production

The next step of the Supply Chain is to weave the yarn into a fabric.

The fabric production is located in Esposende, Portugal

Our manufacturers receive the patterns, fabrics, andother components like buttons or zippers and make them into a garment.

Eine Flasche Wein, Hamburg, Sommer 2013. Da begann alles mit der Frage „Warum gibt es kein stylisches, nachhaltiges und bezahlbares Modelabel?“. Anna und Jula konnten nicht das Modelabel finden, das sie suchten, also beschlossen sie einfach, ein eigenes Label zu gründen. und das alles, während ich in drei verschiedenen Ländern lebe. Kinderspiel, oder? Heute, Januar und Juni, ist eine nachhaltige Mode-Erfolgsgeschichte. Alle ihre Artikel werden fair und transparent in Portugal und Polen hergestellt und verwenden ausschließlich nachhaltige Materialien wie Bio-Baumwolle, recyceltes Polyester, Lyocell und viele mehr. Jeder einzelne ihrer Endartikel wird von der Lieferkette bis zur Endproduktion mit einem QR-Code versehen, der seine Öko-ID zeigt.
