It is not quite clear what the history of the daiquiri is. The daiquiri came to fame through Ernest Hemingway - the cocktail was served to him in Cuba. The daiquiri is part of the sours family. The cocktail's recipe is not quite traditional - a bit of darker rum is added to the mix.

serving tips: you can drink your daiquiri in any glass with some ice but traditionally the daiquiri is served in a cocktail cup with some zest or lime.
