'les racines du ciel' (the roots of heaven) is named after the 1956 novel that tells the story of a crusading environmentalist, who fights to preserve elephants from extinction. in its essence, this  tale is a metaphor for the quest for the salvation of all humanity. and it is so suitable for the founding story of this fashion brand. nathalie and christian are veterans of the fashion industry, who both bring many years of experience in this sector. after realizing they didn't want to continue to work for non-sustainable brands, they decided to do their own thing. and that "thing" is 'les racines du ciel', a sustainable knitwear brand. the founding team says it best themselves: "by putting respect for humans, animals, and nature at the heart of our garments, we have chosen to create timeless, quality clothing that we love to wear over time."
