christian heiss created this drink as a tribute to swiss playwright and author friedrich dürrenmatt. on the way to his favorite restaurant, he always stopped at the diogenes publisher daniel keel's and drank a whiskey. once at the restaurant, he then remained faithful to bordeaux. the master mixologist then transformed this ritual into this cocktail. whiskey meets vermouth.
