sasala's is a zürich based brand run by sara esposito - a truly creative one-woman-show. what started as a creative gift idea during the pandemic quickly turned into a succesful business. one thing however never changed: each bag is carefully made by hand, right here in zürich. we had the pleasure to meed sara and see what goes on behind the scenes of each bag.

meet sara
sara doesn’t have a background in a creative field of study, but she’s the kind of person who has always had a talent for aesthetics and knows what she likes. her keen eye for design meant that once she rediscovered crocheting, many people were eager to own one of her colourful handmade companions. to sara, the handmade aspect and the *real* person behind the brand is super important - these bags are not mass produced, but made with lots of love and care in sara's home (or the badi). each bag is unique, and can even be tailor made to someone's own taste and style. this personal aspect is what sets Sasala's apart: people can see the real person behind the brand - people recognize her on the street, can see her crocheting in the badi or follow her on her instagram channel to watch the creations come to life.

Sasala's ist eine in zürich ansässige marke, die von sara esposito geführt wird – eine wahrhaft kreative One-Woman-Show. was als kreative geschenkidee während der pandemie begann, verwandelte sich schnell in ein erfolgreiches geschäft. eines hat sich jedoch nie geändert: jede tasche wird sorgfältig von hand gefertigt, direkt hier in zürich. wir hatten das vergnügen, sara zu treffen und einen blick hinter die kulissen jeder tasche zu werfen.
wer ist sara?
sara hat zwar keinen formalen hintergrund in einem kreativen bereich, aber sie hatte schon immer ein natürliches talent für ästhetik und ein klares gespür dafür, was sie liebt. ihr geschultes auge für design führte dazu, dass, als sie das häkeln wiederentdeckte, viele menschen begeistert waren, eines ihrer farbenfrohen, handgefertigten werke zu besitzen. Für sara sind der handgemachte aspekt und die echte person hinter der marke unglaublich wichtig. diese taschen sind nicht massenproduziert; sie werden mit viel liebe und sorgfalt bei sara zu hause (oder in der badi) hergestellt. jede tasche ist ein unikat und kann sogar nach dem persönlichen geschmack und wünschen einer person massgeschneidert werden.
