our products are often named after the name of the seamstress. in this case the meaning of the name latifa is just perfect. the bag is very light and comfortable to carry. thanks to the fine material the bag fits perfectly to your body.

even though it is super light and seems small in size. it carries a lot and can be heavily loaded. and the beautiful things is with just a knot or a loop you can easily change the bag from a shoulder bag to a crossbody bag. super comfortable!

the bag was developed to serve as „plastic free“ option for your daily use, as each bag comes with a small pouch that you can easily store it in. so you can always have it with you as a „bag in a bag“ and take it out when you need more space.

caring for linen

a lot of times it is enough to just hang your linen pieces outside to air them out. if you do want to wash your linen pieces you can wash them in the washing machine (you can wash linen up to 60 degrees without any issues). important: linen soaks up water - don't fill your washing machine too much. also, the fibers contract during washing and then "fall apart" and loosen up again once you wear them. do not tumble dry but hang to dry. can wrinkle easily so iron with high heat for a clean look.

what is linen?

linen is made from the fibers of a flax plant and is one of the oldest fabrics in the world. linen fabric was already used thousands of years ago - some evidence suggests over 30 000 years ago.

why love linen?

linen is very durable and tear-resistant. it absorbs moisture well and dries fast. it has a cooling effect - making it the perfect summer fabric. paired with some warmer layers you can wear it all year round thanks to its temperature regulating properties.

the crazy thing - all linen needs is the natural precipitation to grow flax. most linen is grown in europe - even in poor soil during dry seasons. hardly anything goes to waste too!

YOOMEE was founded by florence in 2014 whilst she was travelling around the world. during her travels she met many people and got to know their stories and handcraft. this was her inspiration to start her own brand. today YOOMEE works closely with a women's association in marrakech, morocco for women with physical disabilities. through this work, the association can also offer physiotherapy to people outside of the association. YOOMEE is all about handcraft - that is also why a lot of YOOMEE products are inspired directly by the craft of indiviual artisans. this is how the idea of the keytags started. YOOMEE works with a lot of left over materials to ensure that there is no over production. all of their leather products are made using left over leather only - this makes each bag series a very limited edition! 

YOOMEE and collab are connection through a deep friendship between the founders of both brands. for many years YOOMEE and collab shared an office - and today you can find the YOOMEE flagship store in the collab pfingstweid store. there are many shared projects between us and YOOMEE and we are super happy to work alongside YOOMEE. the slogan "better together" really comes to life with this match :)
