a visit to db pottery

db pottery is a creative pottery studio located in zurich that offers a space for both beginners and more experienced artists to work with clay and ceramic. it's owned by denise, who is a talented artist and also a wonderful neighbor and friend of ours. 

how db pottery started

denise worked in the travel industry for 22 years. in 2016, she started making pottery and fell in love with it right away. she bought her own potter's wheel and made pottery in her cellar. she always had to have her pieces fired elsewhere since she didn’t have a place to do it. additionally, the lack of work due to covid in 2020 became a turning point for her, motivating her to pursue her vision of starting her own ceramics studio.

in 2021 she founded her pottery studio gmbh and transformed the place into a vibrant creative center. denise regularly organizes exhibitions and events to showcase the work of her studio members and other local artists, aiming to promote a greater appreciation for ceramic art within the community. what a great concept! and what we love most: the studio recycles all of their materials and reuses most of it. plus their products are created with lots of love and passion <3
