meet morena

morena started her journey with an apprenticeship as a clothing designer before diving into fashion design studies. while learning, she zeroed in on the impacts of fast fashion and quickly realized she wanted to focus on sustainable, local fashion. "for me, there was no really nice, simple fashion line that was high quality and sustainable," she says. this inspired her to launch her own line in a small studio in zurich. every piece is crafted with care and love right in zurich.

at first, morena juggled a part-time job to cover the studio rent. fast forward to today, and morena isabel is a team of four talented women, with morena now working full-time on her label. the combo of studio and store helped her connect with customers from day one, giving her brand a solid foundation. morena isabel is all about natural materials, fair working conditions, and a great work environment. she sidesteps overproduction by keeping a small stock and making pieces to order. and did you know: she also offers made-to-measure services so that every morena- garment can be tailored to your individual needs. pretty cool!

meet morena
morena begann mit einer lehre als bekleidungsdesignerin und studierte dann modedesign. im studium beschäftigte sie sich stark mit den auswirkungen von fast fashion und erkannte schnell dass sie sich auf nachhaltige, lokale mode fokussieren will. "es gab für mich keine so richtig schöne schlichte modelinie, die qualitativ hochwertig und nachhaltig war", sagt sie. das inspirierte sie dazu, ihre eigene linie in einem kleinen atelier in zürich zu lancieren. jedes teil wird mit liebe und sorgfalt direkt in zürich hergestellt.

am anfang hatte morena nebenbei noch ein teilzeitjob, um die miete für das atelier zu bezahlen. heute besteht morena isabel aus einem team von vier talentierten frauen und morena arbeitet vollzeit für ihr label. die kombination von atelier und ladenlokal half ihr, von anfang an mit den kund*innen in kontakt zu treten, was ihrer marke ein solides fundament gab. morena isabel steht für natürliche materialien, faire arbeitsbedingungen und ein tolles arbeitsumfeld. sie vermeidet überproduktion, indem sie einen kleinen lagerbestand hält und nach kunden*innenwunsch produziert. ausserdem bietet sie massanfertigungen an um so jedes morena-kleidungsstück auf individuelle bedürfnisse zuschneiden zu können. ziemlich cool!
